You're going to be

THE NEXT BIG THING

What to know:

For each outfit, we’ll take around 100-200  pictures, varying the setup, location, & compositions to give you a variety of looks & choices. You can play more and really get comfortable in front of the camera, and not worry about the perfect expression or whether the smile is the right one. We’ll capture it!

What to Bring:

Check-in with your agent, if you have one, about what clothing to bring to your shoot.  Take some time before the shoot to gather an idea as to what kind of look you would like to capture.

    For example:

  • Women, would you like your headshot to say "Girl Next Door", "Temptress" or "Romantic Comedy"?

  • Men, would you like your headshot to say "Heart-Throb", "Action Hero", or "Leading Man"?

By having an idea in advance as to what you would like to capture, we can play into those characters, pick the appropriate wardrobe and style the shoot accordingly.

If you are unsure about what roles you would like to play, bring 6-8 options and I'll help you narrow it down.

Also, in general, it is a good note to bring clothes that will work well with your eyes, skin and hair color.

Make-up

Fresh-looking, daytime make-up is best.

Try not to go overboard with thick or heavy foundation or cosmetics.

Natural tends to be the key word when it comes to great photos- just do what you usually do every day.

Use a little bit of loose powder to touch-up shiny areas on your face, and concealer to lighten up dark spots and cover blemishes.

Shaving

We're good at retouching our pictures, but even a 5 o'clock shadow can't be removed.

Light stubble can be picked up by the camera, so make sure you shave carefully the morning of, or a couple of hours before your session.

Cleanse your face thoroughly to remove any oiliness and to prevent shine.

Feel free to ask others for help with a little bit of concealer or powder to even out your skin tone and minimize blemishes- film and television makeup artists use it on anybody and everybody to enhance their image for the camera.

Make sure you check your appearance and fix your hair immediately before your photo session.

Industry Classics

  • Theatrical Headshots: Blacks, Darker Colors, Moody Colors.

  • Commercial Headshots: Earth Tones, Rich Colors, Brighter Solids.

PLEASE NOTE:

Get plenty of rest the night before the shoot and remember, the more options the better.
